Sugarcane!

Sugarcane has been at the local grocery for about the last 6 weeks.  At 3 kuai per half kilo I finally gave in.  The piece shown below is about $2 worth.

It is fibrous and full of sweet juice.  And fibrous.  Some kids love it and others only tasted it once - or not at all.

Of course - there are things one can do with sugarcane besides eat it!
