Trash Trucks!
Michael gave us some books this christmas - including Trash Trucks by Daniel Kirk. We had a copy once in the distant past, but it was loved into oblivion years ago by some exuberant little boys.
Tonight I read Trash Trucks to Holly for the first time. She was fascinated by the depiction on the cover of garbage trucks as monsters. About halfway through the book I asked her what trash trucks eat. She replied excitedly without a hint of fear or worry, "Humans!!"
I gently adjusted her understanding, but despite the disappointment of the truth she still enjoyed the book.
